OUR TEAMS
We have are one of the largest Men’s University Hockey Clubs in the UK with 140+ members spread over 7 competitive teams, over double the size of all other men’s university hockey clubs in Scotland. Our large club size means we can cater for all abilities of hockey, whether you’ve played at an international level, or never picked up a stick, and allows us to gain a much greater level of fluidity and player transitions between teams, promoting a highly competitive environment.

2026/27 Captain: Rory Steedman
For the 2026/27 season, the 1XI will compete in both the Scottish Premiership and BUCS Premier National. We go into this season looking to match the domestic success of 2025/26, in which we won the Scottish Premiership, reached the final of the Scottish Cup, and won the Grand Championships to qualify for the EHL. We are one of only two university teams ever to have achieved this.
The squad boasts multiple Scottish Senior Internationals and continues to grow from strength to strength, with Head Coach Neil Allan (Senior Scotland Men's Coach) and Jamie Golden (Senior Scotland international) providing world-class coaching. It is an exciting time to be part of the 1s.

2026/27 Captain: To be decided following pre-season
Last season was one of real promise for the 2s. Despite coming second in BUCS Scottish 1A and reaching the final of Scottish Finals Day, it was ultimately a season in which we were unlucky not to come away with more silverware. Big plans ahead as we look to go one better.

2026/27 Captain: TBC following pre-season
Last season was a golden year for the 3s. The team gained promotion to Scottish BUCS 1A, putting them in the same league as the 2s, won the Scottish BUCS Cup, and were named Team of the Year within the club. Murray Walker leaves big shoes to fill as captain, having led the side through such a memorable campaign. The 3s continue to be coached by Ethan Williams as they look to build on that success.

2026/27 Captain: Henry Williams
The 4s bring a strong social scene and a competitive edge, working closely with the 5s to create a great atmosphere and a high standard of hockey across both teams. With cup glory and more success firmly in their sights, including the small matter of putting one over on the 5s, the 4s are looking forward to another enjoyable and rewarding season.

2026/27 Captain: Monty Brown
The 5s are coached by 1s Captain Rory Steedman and sit at the heart of the club, working closely with the 4s to build a great team environment. With two games a week there is plenty of opportunity for everyone to get involved and develop their game.
6s
2026/27 Captain: Kieron Stevenson
The 6s are coached by Arthur Owens and play in BUCS Scotland 4. After a tough season last year, the squad are fired up and ready to push for promotion, as well as going one better in the cups. It is going to be a great season for the 6s.
