Songs |
The hockey club is renowned for its singing ability. With several of our members making it through the auditions of X Factor and other similar music shows, we all definitely have a talent for singing. Unfortunately our singing voices only come out after 1 or 2.... (or 6) pints. To counter the fact our memories are a bit hazy at this stage in the mind, all of old time favourites have been written down so we can jog our memories each night.
However if you happened to be a Fresher and had absolute no idea what "Bunnies in the ring" meant, at least learning these songs would give you a fraction of pride back when the ring turns to song.
The Gambler by Kenny Rogers
On a warm summers evenin on a train bound for nowhere,
I met up with the gambler; we were both too tired to sleep.
So we took turns a starin out the window at the darkness
til boredom overtook us, and he began to speak.
He said, son, Ive made a life out of readin peoples faces,
And knowin what their cards were by the way they held their eyes.
So if you dont mind my sayin, I can see you're out of aces.
For a taste of your whiskey Ill give you some advice.
So I handed him my bottle and he drank down my last swallow.
Then he bummed a cigarette and asked me for a light.
And the night got deathly quiet, and his face lost all expression.
Said, if you're gonna play the game, boy, ya gotta learn to play it right.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
Now evry gambler knows that the secret to survivin
Is knowin what to throw away and knowing what to keep.
cause evry hands a winner and evry hands a loser,
And the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep.
So when hed finished speakin, he turned back towards the window,
Crushed out his cigarette and faded off to sleep.
And somewhere in the darkness the gambler, he broke even.
But in his final words I found an ace that I could keep.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count you r money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
Jack Diddly-ac
My name is Jack diddly-ac, diddly-ac
My name is Gus diddly-us, diddly-us
I’m a necrophiliac, philiac, philiac
I’m incestuous diddly-us, diddly-us
I shag dead women and fill them full of semen
I fuck my mother and I bugger my brother
I get frustrated when they're cremated
But when they die, no tears shed
I Burial’s a must diddly-ust,diddly-ust
Coz just like Jack diddly-ac, diddly-ac
Coz you can’t fuck dust diddly –ust
I’m a necrophiliac, philiac, philiac. Diddly-ust.
BayWatch Theme
Some people stand in the darkness
Afraid to step into the light
Some people need to help somebody
When the edge of surrender’s in sight..
Don’t you worry!
It’s gonna be alright
cause I’m always ready,
I won’t let you out of my sight.
I‘ll be ready (I‘ll be ready)
Never you fear (no don’t you fear)
I’ll be ready
Forever and always
I’m always here.
In us we all have the power
But sometimes its so hard to see
And instinct is stronger than reason
It’s just human nature to me..
Don’t you worry!
Its gonna be alright
cause I’m always ready,
I won’t let you out of my sight.
I’ll be ready (I’ll be ready)
Never you fear (no don’t you fear)
I’ll be ready
Forever and always
I’m always here.
Cause I’m always ready
I won’t let you out of my sight!
I’ll be ready (I’ll be ready)
Never you fear (no don’t you fear)
I’ll be ready
Forever and always
I’m always here.
Forever and always
I’m always here.
