We train at Peffermill on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday evenings.
The Sixth XI takes in a great mix of players;
many who develop greatly over the year to eventually move to higher teams. We also have players who have played at quite a high level prior to university but want a balance between the playing and the social side of things.
We pride ourselves on being a very approachable team. The majority of our team attend all of the socials yet at the same time we still take all our games seriously and play to win.
In the 2006-2007 the Sixth XI had a hugely successful season and finished top of East District Division 3 to gain promotion. 2008-9 saw the side progress again and we finished mid table in the league.
This season the team will be looking to build on last years success and hope to attain an upper half position in the second division.
So if you are looking for the perfect mix of a good standard of hockey with a sociable team, then the 6XI is for you. |
