EUMHC 1st XI v BUMHC 1st XI
By: Callum Duke at 31-01-2012 23:05

Birmingham are coming to town and everyone is excited.

This coming Wednesday, EUMHC 1st XI are due to take to the field against Birmingham University 1st XI in the most highly anticipated hockey match since that one that everyone really enjoyed a while ago.

Birmingham currently sit third in the highly competitive BUCS Northern Premier League, and second in the West Conference of the English National Leagues. Traditionally challengers for the overall BUCS championship, it is the task of EUMHC to bring an end to Brummie challenge.

EUMHC are enjoying their most successful season in recent history and currently top of their BUCS Scottish Conference, and 5th in Scottish National League 1. With a squad of ageing warriors, the 2011/12 campaign represents the last opportunity for many of the squad to taste BUCS championship glory.

The moral of the story is that a massive crowd at fortress Peffermill would be really appreciated. It’s a 16.00 pushback and hopefully the Bar will be open so you can get well oiled and provide the raucous support that will hopefully help EUMHC 1st XI advance to the semi-finals for the first time basically ever (probs).

Much Love,

EUMHC 1st XI

xx

Merry Christmas
By: Chris Barrett at 22-12-2011 13:38

So, exams are over and most of us will probably be heading home to enjoy the holidays - unless you still have essays in which case sucks to be you!

It's been a great first semester for the club with all of our teams doing well in their respective leagues. Lots to look forward to next year, kicking off with our club day on the 28th of January with matches between the Fives and Sixes, Threes and Fours and even a friendly between the Ones and Twos. We also get to find out which unfortunate person was unable to hang onto his wristband at the Sports Union Ball.

So that's it for this year; here's looking forward to a hockey and banter-filled 2012!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from EUMHC!

Stewart Laing: "It was class. I wish I could do it again"

Kylan Pathmanathan: " *No Chat* "

Michael Henderson-Sowerby: "I loved the whole experience!"

Fraser McCurdy: "What was the question again?"
